County Announces Tennis Clinic
Scranton, PA – The Lackawanna County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold its annual tennis clinics for boys and girls ages 8 to 16 from June 16 to Aug. 15. The camp includes two sessions per week for three weeks. Each session is 90 minutes. The fee is $10 per child. Applications are available at McDade Park, 963-6764, and at www.lackawannacounty.org.
Locations and times are:
· June 16 through July 3 – Valley View High School, Mondays and Thursdays, 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
· June 18 through July 11 – Scranton High School, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Old Forge High School, Wednesdays and Fridays, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
· July 7 through July 23 – Mayfield Playground (limited to first 25), Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 to 10:30 a.m.; Russell Park, Carbondale, Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Mellow Park, Blakely (limited to first 25), Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
· July 8 through July 24 – Crowley Park, Green Ridge, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 to 10:30 a.m., and Dunmore High School, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
· July 28 through Aug. 14 – University of Scranton, Mondays and Thursdays, 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Abington Heights Middle School, Mondays and Thursdays, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
· July 30 through Aug. 15 – McDade Park, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 to 10:30 a.m., and West Scranton High School, Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
